I realized something today, it is that when a memory enters my mind that at the time was marvelous but because of following events it has become unhappy, it helps a lot to think of a different memory that is similar but is still happy and probably always will be. Those kinds of memories make things a lot easier. For example, I think of someone I loved and some of the times we spent together but then the relationship ended and now those memories bring more sadness than joy, but if I think of a time instead with my family or a friend that is still close to me it makes that sadness disappear. It sounds hard but it is quite simple.
